Team Boulderdash Climbing Team

Youth Teams

All of our youth teams meet at least once a week, and require a try-out to join.
Please email us at sfv@boulderdashclimbing.com to find out more information!

Recreational Team

Wednesdays, 4:00pm – 6:00pm

$95 per month (based on 4 classes per month) $25 per session if more than 4 per month.

Our Recreational Team is a team for kids ages 7 and up who want to climb more regularly! Our coaches work with our Rec Team kids on the basics of climbing techniques, but also spend time working out and having fun. If your child is enjoying our Off the Deck or Climb Time classes, and wants more structure and consistency in their climbing, the Rec Team might be the best choice for them!

If your child is invited to try out for the Rec Team, they’ll join the team for one of their normal sessions. Our coaches will work with your child and see how enthusiastic they are about climbing and how well they work with the other kids on the team. If the coaches agree that your child is a good fit, and you and your child agree that you want to commit to the team, then you’re in!

Competition Team

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00pm – 7:00pm

$240 – $270 per month ($30 per session, billed monthly)

If your child is climbing hard, and they want a structured space to hone those skills, they should consider joining our Competition Team! Comp Team kids train harder than most adults in the gym, and they go to USAC (USA Climbing) competitions throughout the year. Kids who advance through these competitions might find themselves competing at Nationals!

If your child is invited to try out for the Competition Team, they’ll join the team for a portion of one of their normal sessions. Our coaches will assess their willingness to be there and to work hard, as well as their skill level. Kids trying out for the Comp Team should be climbing at a V5 level at minimum. If the coaches agree that your child is a good fit, and you and your child agree that you want to commit to the team, then you’re in!
